WICK Nasivin® Classic 0.05% Nasal Drops

WICK Nasivin® Classic 0.05% Nasal Drops are a medication for the treatment of colds and stuffy noses. The active ingredient, oxymetazoline hydrochloride, causes the nasal mucous membrane to decongest, thereby facilitating nasal breathing.

The effect begins after approximately 25 seconds and lasts for up to 12 hours.

Areas of Application

• Acute rhinitis
• Allergic rhinitis
• Vasomotor rhinitis
• Inflammation of the paranasal sinuses
• Catarrh of the Eustachian tube associated with rhinitis
• Decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane for diagnostic purposes

Application / Dosage

Adults and Children aged 6 and over

Apply 1–2 drops into each nostril 2–3 times daily.

Instructions for Use

• Clean the nose before use
• Tilt head slightly backward
• Instill drops into each nostril
• Clean and close the dropper after use

Application should not exceed 7 days.

Re-application should only occur after a break of several days.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, WICK Nasivin® Classic 0.05% Nasal Drops can cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them.

Possible side effects include:

• Burning or dryness of the nasal mucous membrane
• Sneezing
• Irritation in the nose
• Headaches
• Sleep disturbances
• Palpitations

Prolonged use can lead to chronic swelling of the nasal mucous membrane (rhinitis medicamentosa).

Allergic reactions are rare.
