WICK Nasivin® Classic 0.05% Nasal Spray

WICK Nasivin® Classic 0.05% Nasal Spray is a medication for the local treatment of colds and nasal congestion. The active ingredient oxymetazoline hydrochloride causes the nasal mucous membrane to decongest, making it easier to breathe through the nose.

The effect starts in approximately 25 seconds and lasts for up to 12 hours.

• Acute rhinitis
• Allergic rhinitis
• Runny nose
• Sinusitis
• Tubal catarrh in conjunction with rhinitis
• Decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane for diagnostic purposes

Application / Dosage

Adults and Children aged 6 and over

1 spray into each nostril 2-3 times daily.

Instructions for Use

• Clean the nose before use
• When using for the first time, pump several times until a uniform spray mist is produced
• Clean the spray opening after use
• Replace the protective cap

Do not use for more than 7 days.

Re-application should only occur after several days' break.

Notes

Do not store above 25 °C.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, WICK Nasivin® Classic 0.05% Nasal Spray can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects include:

• Burning or dryness of the nasal mucous membrane
• Sneezing
• Irritation in the nose
• Headaches
• Sleep disturbances
• Palpitations

Prolonged use can lead to chronic swelling of the nasal mucous membrane (rhinitis medicamentosa).

Hypersensitivity reactions are rarely possible.
