VICKS DayMed Duo

Indications
For the relief of nasal and sinus congestion with headache, fever, and cold or flu symptoms.

WICK DayMed Duo contains the active ingredients ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and pseudoephedrine, a vasoconstrictor for the treatment of nasal congestion.

Ibuprofen has pain-relieving, fever-reducing, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Pseudoephedrine promotes the reduction of nasal swelling.

WICK DayMed Duo is used for the relief of nasal and sinus congestion associated with headache, fever, and/or cold or flu symptoms.

WICK DayMed Duo is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 15 and over.

Use this combination medicine only if both a blocked nose and pain or fever are present. If only one of these symptoms is present, the medicine should not be used.

If you do not feel better or worse after 3 days in adolescents or 5 days in adults, please consult your doctor.

Dosage, method of administration, and duration of use
Take WICK DayMed Duo exactly as described in the package leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.

WICK DayMed Duo is for oral use only.

Recommended dosage
Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over:
1 tablet, if necessary every 4–6 hours. For more severe symptoms, 2 tablets, if necessary every 6–8 hours.

The maximum daily dose of 6 tablets must not be exceeded.

The tablets should preferably be taken with water and on a full stomach. Do not break or crush.

Use in children and adolescents
Do not use in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.

Duration of treatment
This medicine is intended for short-term use only. The lowest effective dose should be taken for the shortest possible period.

WICK DayMed Duo should not be used for more than 5 days.

If symptoms do not improve or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

If this medicine is needed for more than 3 days in adolescents or if symptoms worsen, please consult your doctor.

Note on overdose
If a larger quantity than recommended is accidentally ingested, medical advice should be sought immediately.

Ingredients

Active ingredients:
200 mg ibuprofen and 30 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride per tablet (equivalent to 24.6 mg pseudoephedrine).

Other ingredients:
Microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized maize starch, povidone K30, highly dispersed anhydrous silicon dioxide, stearic acid 95, croscarmellose sodium, sodium dodecyl sulfate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 400, yellow iron oxide (E172), polysorbate 80 (E433), red iron oxide (E172), black iron oxide (E172), partially hydrolyzed poly(vinyl alcohol), talc (E553b), macrogol 3350 and mica-based pearlescent pigment from potassium aluminium silicate (E555) and titanium dioxide (E171).

Side effects
As with all medicines, side effects can occur, although not everyone gets them. Gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, abdominal pain or indigestion are common. Headaches, dizziness, nervousness, sleep disturbances or palpitations are also possible. Rarely, allergic reactions, skin rashes, increased blood pressure or severe skin reactions may occur. At the first sign of a hypersensitivity reaction or other serious complaints, the medicine should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought.
