Medicine for the removal of corns and calluses in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.

Suitable for: Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over

Active ingredients: Salicylic acid and lactic acid

W-Tropfen® contain a proven combination of salicylic acid and lactic acid. The two active ingredients soften thickened calluses, thus facilitating their detachment and removal.

Salicylic acid has keratolytic properties and supports the shedding of cornified skin cells. Lactic acid increases the moisture content and elasticity of the stratum corneum and additionally supports the keratolytic effect.

If no improvement occurs after 5 days, consult your doctor.

Application and Dosage

W-Tropfen® are applied once daily, preferably before bedtime, exclusively to the affected skin areas in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.

Before the first use, bathe the affected area in warm water and then dry thoroughly.

The healthy skin around the corn or callus should be protected with a little petroleum jelly.

Apply a thin layer of W-Tropfen® directly to the affected area and allow to dry completely. Repeat this process 3 to 4 times until a firm layer has formed.

For calluses, only a small area with a maximum diameter of 2 cm should be treated at a time.

Duration of Application

Treatment usually lasts 4 to 6 days. After regular application, the softened horny layer can be carefully removed after a warm bath.

If the callus cannot be completely removed, treatment can be repeated according to the application recommendations.

Use in Children

W-Tropfen® must not be used in infants and young children under 2 years of age.

For children between 2 and 12 years of age, use is not recommended due to insufficient data.

The medicine is intended for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults.

Active Ingredients

1 g solution (= 1.19 ml) contains:

• 120 mg salicylic acid

• 49 mg lactic acid

Other Ingredients

Ether, ethyl acetate, 2-propanol, pyroxylin, thick paraffin, and refined castor oil.

Notes

For external use on the skin only. Treat only the affected cornified skin areas and avoid contact with healthy skin as much as possible.

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.
