Vit-A-Vision® Eye Ointment

Vit-A-Vision® is a preservative-free eye ointment with vitamin A, vitamin E, and dexpanthenol. It is used for long-lasting improvement of the tear film and intensive protection of the eye surface.

The ingredients support the care and moisturization of the eye surface. The cell-protective properties can promote normal re-epithelialization if it is impaired by dryness.

Due to its soft and smooth consistency, the ointment spreads evenly over the eye surface. Vitamin A is a natural component of the tear film and contributes to good tolerability.

Vit-A-Vision® can relieve symptoms such as dryness, burning, irritation, or fatigue of the eyes. This allows the eyelids to glide more easily over the cornea and conjunctiva.

Dexpanthenol is converted into pantothenic acid in the body and belongs to the group of B vitamins. It has nourishing properties and supports moisture retention.

Indications

For long-lasting moisturization and care of the eye surface in cases of:

• Dry eyes

• Burning eyes

• Irritation and mild discomfort

• Fatigue and eye strain

Particularly suitable for:

• Environmental stressors such as air conditioning, wind, or air pollution

• Cigarette smoke

• Intensive screen work

• Extended work with microscopes

• Long car journeys

• Mechanical stress on the eyes

• Contact lens wear

• Diagnostic procedures on the eye

Application

Vit-A-Vision® is typically applied 3 times a day.

Application in the evening before going to bed is particularly recommended so that the ointment can remain on the eye surface for a longer period.

Instructions for Use

• Unscrew the protective cap.

• Tilt your head slightly backward.

• Gently pull the lower eyelid downwards.

• Apply an ointment string of about 0.5 cm into the conjunctival sac.

• Slowly close your eyes.

• Close the tube carefully after use.

Continuous use for more than 30 days is possible.

Important Information

• Temporary blurred vision may occur after application.

• During this time, do not drive vehicles or operate machinery.

• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

• Do not use while wearing contact lenses.

• If other eye preparations are used at the same time, an interval of about 30 minutes should be observed.

• In this case, Vit-A-Vision® should be applied last.

• The tip of the tube must not touch the eye or skin to avoid contamination.

• Do not bend or roll up the tube.

Side Effects

Vit-A-Vision® is generally very well tolerated.

Occasionally, the following may occur:

• Temporary blurred vision immediately after application

• Slight burning or stinging sensation in the eye

• Temporary foreign body sensation

Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions to individual ingredients may occur, such as:

• Redness

• Itching

• Swelling

• Irritation of the eyelids or eye surface

If symptoms persist or signs of an allergic reaction occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
