Vibrocil® Nasal drops

Product Details & Mandatory Information

Vibrocil® nasal drops provide rapid and lasting decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane and facilitate nasal breathing. The combination of a decongestant and an anti-allergic active ingredient makes these nasal drops particularly suitable for colds and blocked noses.

Areas of Application

For decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane in cases of:

• Colds and flu

• Allergic rhinitis (hay fever)

• Vasomotor rhinitis

• As supportive treatment for sinusitis

Suitable for

• Children from 2 years of age

• Adolescents

• Adults

Use in children under 6 years of age is exclusively by medical prescription.

Composition

1 ml solution contains:

• 2.5 mg Phenylephrine

• 0.25 mg Dimetindene maleate

1 ml corresponds to approximately 30 drops.

Dosage

Adults, adolescents and children over 10 years

• 2 to 3 drops into each nostril 3 to 4 times daily

Children from 2 to 10 years

• 1 to 2 drops into each nostril 3 to 4 times daily

There must be at least 6 hours between two applications.

The application in children should be supervised by parents or other adults.

Method of Application

• Clean the nose thoroughly before use.

• Tilt head back.

• Instil the required number of drops into one nostril.

• Close the other nostril with a finger.

• Breathe in briefly through the nose with the mouth closed.

• Then repeat the process on the other nostril.

For hygienic reasons, each bottle should only be used by one person.

Duration of Application

Vibrocil® nasal drops should not be used for more than 7 days, unless otherwise directed by a doctor.

Before a new application, a treatment break of several days should be taken.

Notes

Prolonged or excessive use can lead to renewed swelling of the nasal mucous membrane (habituation effect).
