TUSSIMONT® Cough Drops
Traditional herbal medicinal product for use as an expectorant for coughs associated with a cold. The application of this traditional herbal medicinal product in the specified areas of application is based exclusively on long-standing use.
TUSSIMONT® Cough Drops quickly help with dry coughs, spasmodic coughs, and catarrhs of the respiratory tract. The herbal combination of thyme and plantain naturally supports the respiratory tract, loosens stubborn mucus, and relieves the urge to cough.
Thyme is rich in essential oils and has mucolytic, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory effects. Plantain contains natural mucilage that has a soothing effect on irritated mucous membranes. In addition, both medicinal plants have antibacterial properties and have long been traditionally used for colds.
TUSSIMONT® Cough Drops are suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and older and can be taken with water or tea.

Application and Dosage
Adults and adolescents from 12 years:
10–20 drops 4–5 times daily
Children from 6 to 12 years:
10 drops 3–4 times daily
Children from 2 to 6 years:
5 drops 3–4 times daily
Use in children under 2 years is not recommended due to a lack of data and the alcohol content.
Method of Administration
The drops can be taken with a little water or tea. Adults can also take the drops undiluted.
Duration of Application
If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 1 week, a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Do not store above 25 °C.
With plant extracts, a natural precipitate may form, which does not affect efficacy.

Side effects
TUSSIMONT® Cough Drops are generally well tolerated.
Occasionally, gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, abdominal pain, or mild diarrhea may occur.
In sensitive individuals, allergic reactions to thyme, plantain, or other components are possible.
Due to the alcohol content, the medicine should only be used in certain patient groups after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
