Talcid® chewable tablets relieve heartburn within minutes

Stomach pain, heartburn, and acid reflux often occur after heavy meals, but can also be associated with reflux (backflow of stomach or bile acid into the esophagus) or inflammation of the stomach or esophageal lining.

Talcid® chewable tablets work quickly and reliably for acid-related complaints. They are simply chewed and then swallowed – ideal for on the go. The mild peppermint flavor also provides a fresh mouthfeel.

Available in pack sizes of 20 or 50 pieces.

How do Talcid® chewable tablets work?

Talcid® neutralizes excess stomach acid and also binds bile acids and pepsin.

One chewable tablet contains 500 mg of hydrotalcite, an antacid with a special layered lattice structure. This ensures a controlled release of the active ingredient:

• Only as much active ingredient is released as is necessary for neutralization
• The pH value remains in the optimal range
• If hyperacidity recurs, active ingredient is released again

This results in a long-lasting effect.

Application and Dosage

• If needed, chew 1–2 chewable tablets thoroughly and swallow
• Can be taken without water

Daily dose:

• Up to 12 tablets spread throughout the day
• Preferably taken between meals and before bedtime

Important note:

• Maintain a minimum interval of 2 hours from other medicines
