Acid-related complaints such as heartburn often occur after heavy meals, due to stress, or certain foods.

Typical symptoms are burning behind the breastbone and acid regurgitation, caused by the reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus.

Reloxan® chewable tablets with mint flavor provide rapid relief from these symptoms.

Dual-action principle

Neutralization of stomach acid

• Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate reduce excess stomach acid
• Magnesium carbonate acts quickly
• Calcium carbonate ensures a longer-lasting effect

Protection of the mucous membrane

• Prickly pear extract forms a protective film on the irritated mucous membrane of the esophagus

Dosage and application

Adults and adolescents from 12 years:

• 1 chewable tablet as needed
• maximum up to 4 times daily

Time of intake:

• preferably 1 hour after meals
• alternatively before bedtime or in between

Application:

• Suck or chew the tablet

Notes:

• Interval to other medicines: 1–2 hours
• Do not use for more than 30 days without consulting a doctor
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult a doctor or pharmacist

Ingredients

Active ingredients per chewable tablet:

• Calcium carbonate 450 mg
• Magnesium carbonate 50 mg
• Prickly pear extract (Opuntia) 75 mg

Excipients:

• Sorbitol
• Corn starch
• Maltodextrin
• Mint flavor
• Magnesium stearate

Note:

• Contains sorbitol (can have a laxative effect if consumed excessively)

Side effects

Reloxan® is generally well tolerated.

Possible side effects:

• Gastrointestinal complaints (e.g., loose stools or diarrhea at higher doses)
• rarely hypersensitivity reactions
