Regaine® – Help for hereditary hair loss

Hereditary hair loss is the most common form of hair loss in men. The loss often begins between the ages of 20 and 30 at the temples and develops over time into receding hairline or a bald patch at the back of the head.

Regaine® 5% foam has been specially designed for the treatment of hereditary hair loss in men.

The active ingredient minoxidil helps hair follicles return to the growth phase. This can promote hair growth and slow down hair loss.

How does Regaine® work?

In hereditary hair loss, the growth phase of the hair shortens, while the resting phase lengthens. The hair follicles become smaller over time, and the regrowth hair is thinner and weaker.

Minoxidil can:

• prolong the growth phase

• shorten the resting phase

• support the regrowth of new hair

• increase hair diameter

• stabilize hair loss

First visible results can often appear after approximately 8 to 16 weeks.

The so-called "shedding effect"

In the first 2 to 6 weeks after starting application, there may be a temporary increase in hair loss. This involves older, inactive hairs falling out to make room for new hairs.

This so-called "shedding effect" is usually temporary and can be an initial sign of effectiveness.

Important note on long-term use

Since the cause of hereditary hair loss is genetic, Regaine® should be used continuously to maintain its effect.

The therapy remains effective only as long as the product is applied regularly.

Application & Dosage

Apply 1 g of foam (corresponding to the volume of half a cap) to the affected areas of the scalp twice daily.

Application steps:

• Remove protective cap

• Hold container vertically downwards

• Spray foam onto fingertips

• Apply to affected areas

• Gently massage in

• Clean hands thoroughly after use

Daily hair care can be continued as usual.

Side effects

As with all medicines, Regaine® can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects include:

• Itching or redness of the scalp

• Dry or flaky skin

• Burning or irritation

• Temporarily increased hair loss at the start of therapy

• Headaches

Rarely, systemic side effects such as dizziness, palpitations, or changes in blood pressure may occur.

In case of severe skin reactions or unusual complaints, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
