ratioDolor® Flurbiprofen 8.75 mg lozenges contain the active ingredient flurbiprofen. This belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects.

The lozenges are used for the short-term treatment of sore throats and inflammation in the pharyngeal area.

Areas of application

For the relief of:

• Sore throat

• Inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa

• Pain in the throat area

• Swelling in the throat

• Difficulty swallowing

Suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over.

Effect

Flurbiprofen acts directly at the site of inflammation and can:

• Relieve pain

• Reduce inflammation

• Reduce swelling

• Ease difficulty swallowing

Dosage and Application

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over:

• If necessary, allow 1 lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth.

• Move the lozenge around the mouth while sucking.

• An adequate interval should be maintained between applications.

• The recommended maximum daily dose must not be exceeded.

The medicine is intended for short-term use only. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

• Isomalt (E 953) – 2051.63 mg

• Maltitol (E 965) – 427.67 mg

• Lemon flavour

• Honey flavour

• Peppermint oil

• D-limonene

• Geraniol

Side effects

Like all medicines, ratioDolor® Flurbiprofen 8.75 mg can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common side effects

• Irritation or tingling in the mouth and throat area

• Dryness of the mouth

• Taste disturbances

• Nausea

Occasional side effects

• Abdominal pain

• Indigestion

• Dizziness

• Headaches

Rare to severe side effects

• Allergic reactions

• Swelling in the face, mouth or throat area

• Breathing difficulties

• Severe skin reactions

In case of signs of an allergic reaction, shortness of breath, swelling or severe skin reactions, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention without delay.

Note: The lozenges contain isomalt and maltitol. Excessive consumption of these substances may have a laxative effect.
