This herbal medicinal product helps alleviate mild urinary discomfort in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Prostagutt duo can be used for frequent urination, both during the day and at night, a weak urine stream, and post-void dribbling, after serious conditions have been ruled out by a doctor.

Areas of Application

Prostagutt duo serves as a herbal medicinal product for the supportive alleviation of mild urinary discomfort in men with an enlarged prostate.

This medication helps to alleviate the symptoms of prostate enlargement, but it does not eliminate the underlying cause. Regular medical check-ups are advisable. In cases of blood in the urine or sudden urinary retention, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

If you do not observe any improvement after 4 weeks or if your condition worsens, please consult your doctor.

Dosage and Administration

Adult men take one capsule twice daily.

The capsules should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid with or after meals, in the morning and evening.

Duration of Use

An improvement in symptoms can be expected after about four weeks. If no improvement occurs or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Storage

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not store above 30 °C.

The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging and blister. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Side Effects

Like all medications, Prostagutt duo can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Occasionally, gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, abdominal pain, or digestive problems may occur. In rare cases, allergic reactions, especially in people with a soy allergy, may occur. In case of side effects, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.

Ingredients

Active ingredients per capsule

• 160 mg thick extract from saw palmetto fruits (Sabalis serrulatae fructus), drug to extract ratio 10–14.3:1, extraction solvent: ethanol 90% (m/m)

• 120 mg dry extract from nettle root (Urticae radix), drug to extract ratio 7.6–12.5:1, extraction solvent: ethanol 60% (m/m)

Other ingredients

Gelatin polysuccinate, glycerol, hard fat, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, hydrogenated soybean oil, Patent Blue V (E131), iron oxide yellow (E172), iron oxide black (E172).
