Posterisan® protect ointment - for haemorrhoidal complaints

Posterisan® protect was developed for the care and protection of the sensitive anal region in case of mild hemorrhoidal symptoms. The ointment alleviates discomfort, protects irritated skin and can help prevent the recurrence of symptoms.

The combination of jojoba wax, beeswax and cetyl stearyl isononanoate forms a protective film and supports the suppleness and elasticity of the skin. At the same time, the ointment provides a lubricating effect that can facilitate bowel movements.

Mechanism of action

Jojoba wax supports the regulation of moisture content and helps keep stressed skin elastic and supple.

Cetyl stearyl isononanoate has skin-care properties and supports skin suppleness.

Yellow wax (beeswax) forms a water-repellent protective film and helps protect the sensitive anal region from further irritation.

Application

For external use, apply Posterisan® protect thinly with your finger to the skin around the anus.

For application in the anal canal, the enclosed applicator with side openings can be used.

Regular use before and after bowel movements can be useful to maintain the protective effect.

Posterisan® protect can be used for up to four weeks without interruption.

Application with the anal dilator

The enclosed anal dilator can be used for gentle and gradual dilation of a tense sphincter or to prevent sphincter spasms.

For better glide, thinly coat the anal dilator with Posterisan® protect and additionally apply an approximately 1 cm long strand of ointment to the tip. Application should be done according to the instructions for use.

Benzyl alcohol, purified water, white petrolatum, wool wax and butylhydroxytoluene.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Posterisan® protect can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding according to the available product information.
