Otodolor® forte ear drops are a homeopathic medicine for the supportive treatment of painful conditions of the outer ear canal. They are used for irritation, redness, and eczematous crusts and, according to homeopathic understanding, can promote the body's self-regulation. The ear drops have a decongestant and pain-relieving effect and are particularly suitable for treating symptoms after so-called swimmer's ear infections.

Earaches are often caused by viral or bacterial infections. Allergic reactions, water in the ear after bathing or swimming, and mechanical irritations, for example from cotton swabs, can also cause discomfort in the outer ear canal. Earaches also frequently occur in connection with colds.

The homeopathic active ingredients included are traditionally used for the supportive treatment of inflammation and irritation of the outer ear canal. The areas of application are based exclusively on the insights of homeopathic medicinal properties. In severe or pronounced diseases, a medically recommended therapy is required.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over apply about 3 to 5 drops into the affected outer ear canal every 2 to 4 hours.

As soon as the symptoms improve, the frequency of application should be reduced.

Otodolor® forte is intended exclusively for use in the ear and should not be used for longer than 14 days without medical consultation.

For children under 12 years of age, use is not recommended due to a lack of sufficient data.

If symptoms do not improve or worsen within 7 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Otodolor® forte can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In individual cases, hypersensitivity reactions to one of the ingredients may occur. If ear pain persists, fever, discharge from the ear, or a worsening of symptoms, medical advice should be sought immediately.
