Areas of Application

octenisept® Gel is used for acute skin injuries such as abrasions, cuts, and minor burns, for example sunburn.

Effect

The special formula provides the wound with moisture and creates an optimal wound healing environment to promote and accelerate the natural healing process. At the same time, scar formation can be reduced.

The gel forms a protective layer as a physical barrier against external influences and prevents the penetration of germs. Germs are inactivated within the gel, which can prevent infections and inflammations.

The cooling effect alleviates acute itching and pain. The gel is colorless and causes no burning or pain upon application.

Tissue Compatibility and Biocompatibility

octenisept® Gel is non-irritating, non-sensitizing, and exhibits no tissue toxicity. The good tissue compatibility of Octenidine has been confirmed by many years of clinical experience and studies.

Dosage and Application

For external use on acute skin wounds only.

Apply the gel to the cleansed wound and spread evenly.

Do not use continuously for longer than 2 weeks without medical supervision.

Contraindications and Warnings

octenisept® Gel should not be used if there is a known allergy or suspected hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

If the wound worsens, a doctor should be consulted.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use only after consulting a doctor.

Suitable for children from 4 weeks of age.

The gel must not be used on cartilage, in the ear, nose, or eye.

General Safety Information

Do not use for infusion or injection.
Do not ingest.
For external use only.

For chronic wounds, a sterile wound gel should be used.

Use only undamaged packaging.
