LUUF® Naphazolin Compositum Nasal Spray

Areas of application
For the relief of rhinitis and acute symptoms of hay fever.

The LUUF® Naphazolin Compositum nasal spray has a decongestant, calming, and anti-allergic effect on the nasal mucous membrane.

The ingredient naphazoline quickly decongests the nasal mucous membrane and reduces excessive secretion production. This facilitates breathing through the nose and clears blocked noses.

Diphenhydramine has an anti-irritant, local anesthetic, and anti-allergic effect. It reduces the urge to sneeze and can alleviate allergic symptoms.

By decongesting the mucous membrane, the drainage of secretions from the sinuses is also promoted.

In cases of allergic inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis), LUUF® Naphazolin Compositum nasal spray can be used on medical advice.

Dosage and application
The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is:

1–2 sprays into each nostril, up to 4 times daily.

An interval of approximately 3 hours should be maintained between applications.

The effect occurs after about 10 minutes and lasts for approximately 4–6 hours.

Ingredients

Active ingredients per 1 ml nasal spray:
1.0 mg naphazoline hydrochloride,
1.0 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride,
0.1 mg benzalkonium chloride.

One spray corresponds to approximately 0.07 ml.

Other components:
Polysorbate 80, sodium chloride, menthol, camphor, essential oil from eucalyptus leaves and nutmeg, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium phosphate, purified water.

Net quantity
15 ml.

Side effects
As with all medicines, side effects may occur with this product, but they do not necessarily affect everyone. Possible side effects include a burning or dry sensation in the nose, sneezing, or irritation of the nasal mucous membrane. In rare cases, palpitations, headaches, or allergic reactions may occur. Prolonged or excessive use can lead to a renewed swelling of the mucous membrane.
