Mode of action
Iberogast® BALANCE works according to the multi-target principle:
- Calms the gastric mucosa
- Antispasmodic effect
- Supports normal stomach movement
- Relieves pain
Due to its liquid form, the active ingredients are quickly absorbed.
Intake and dosage
Suitable for adults aged 18 and over.
Dosage:
- 20 drops (1 ml) 3 times daily
- Take before or with meals with a little liquid
- Shake bottle before use
Duration of use:
- Also possible for longer periods
- If there is no improvement after 7 days, medical clarification is recommended

Ingredients
Active ingredients (per 1 ml):
- 0.3 ml Chamomile flower liquid extract
- 0.2 ml Caraway liquid extract
- 0.15 ml Lemon balm leaf liquid extract
- 0.1 ml Peppermint leaf liquid extract
- 0.1 ml Licorice root liquid extract
- 0.15 ml Bitter candy tuft (fresh) liquid extract
(Extracting agent in each case ethanol 30% or 50% V/V)
Other ingredients:
- Ethanol (total ethanol content approx. 31% V/V)
Side effects
Like all medicines, this one can also have side effects, but they do not affect everyone.
Possible side effects:
- Gastrointestinal complaints
- Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin (e.g. rash, itching)
- Allergic reactions
In case of signs of side effects, especially yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine or severe upper abdominal pain, the intake should be stopped and a doctor consulted immediately.
