Gaviscon® Liquid Sachets Mint are ready-to-use portion sticks that provide rapid relief from reflux symptoms.

This product belongs to the category of reflux inhibitors and acts exclusively physically in the stomach.

The plant-based ingredient alginate is derived from the brown algae Laminaria hyperborea and does not enter the bloodstream.

How it Works

• It forms a protective layer ("raft") on the stomach contents
• which prevents stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus.
• It relieves heartburn, acid reflux, and pressure in the stomach.

The effect can last for up to 4 hours.

Dosage and Application

Adults and adolescents from 12 years:

• 1 sachet (10 ml) after meals and before bedtime

Application:

• Dispense contents directly into the mouth or onto a spoon
• discard any unused residue

Notes:

• Do not use for more than 7 days without medical consultation.
• If symptoms persist, a medical examination is recommended.

• Sodium alginate 500 mg
• Sodium bicarbonate 267 mg
• Calcium carbonate 160 mg

Side Effects

Gaviscon® Liquid Sachets Mint is generally well tolerated.

Possible side effects:

• occasionally gastrointestinal discomfort (e.g., flatulence)
• rarely hypersensitivity reactions.

Since the active ingredient is not absorbed systemically, the risk of side effects is low.
