Esberitox® Tablets

Indications
Herbal medicine for the supportive treatment of common colds and for the prevention of frequently recurring colds.

If you do not feel better or worse after 10 days of a cold, consult your doctor.

Dosage, method and duration of use
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.

Recommended dosage

Adults and adolescents from 12 years:
3 tablets 3 times daily.

Children from 7–11 years:
2 tablets 3 times daily.

Children from 4–6 years:
1 tablet 3 times daily.

Children under 4 years:
Use is not recommended due to insufficient data.

Method of administration
Take in the morning, at noon and in the evening with some liquid or let it dissolve in the mouth.

Treatment should be started at the first signs of a cold.

Duration of use
If symptoms worsen or persist for longer than 10 days, a doctor must be consulted.

Esberitox® tablets should not be taken without interruption for longer than 8 weeks.

Note on overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported.

Note on forgotten dose
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.

Ingredients

Active ingredient:
1 tablet contains 3.2 mg dry extract (DEV 4–9:1) from a mixture of wild indigo root (Baptisiae rhizoma), purple coneflower root (Echinaceae purpureae radix), pale coneflower root (Echinaceae pallidae radix) and arborvitae shoots and leaves (Thujae occidentalis herba) in a ratio of 4.92:1.85:1.85:1.
Extracting agent: Ethanol 30% (V/V).

Other ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, macrogol, sucrose.

Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can have side effects, although not everybody gets them. Occasionally, gastrointestinal complaints or hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash, itching or allergic reactions may occur. If signs of an allergic reaction occur, stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice.
