Easyangin® 5mg/1mg Menthol Flavor

Easyangin® is an over-the-counter medication for local application in the mouth and throat. The lozenges combine two proven active ingredients for the supportive treatment of sore throats and inflammation in this area.

The active ingredient chlorhexidine has an antiseptic effect and helps fight germs, while lidocaine quickly relieves pain in the mouth and throat. This combination makes it possible to both reduce discomfort and combat inflammation.

Areas of application

easyangin® is used for the short-term, supportive treatment of mild to moderate discomfort in the mouth and throat, including:

• Sore throat
• Pharyngitis
• Hoarseness
• Inflammation of the mouth and throat (Pharyngitis)
• Gingivitis

Ingredients

One lozenge contains:

• 1 mg Lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate
• 5 mg Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride

How Easyangin® works

Easyangin® offers a combined effect against pain and inflammation:

• Lidocaine has pain-relieving properties and can quickly reduce discomfort in the throat and pharyngeal area.
• Chlorhexidine has antiseptic properties and supports the fight against bacteria and germs in the mouth and throat.

This means easyangin® can both relieve symptoms and help combat the cause of inflammation.

Application and dosage

Always use this medication according to the package leaflet or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.

Adults

Let one lozenge slowly dissolve in the mouth every 2 hours.
The maximum daily dose of 10 tablets must not be exceeded.

Adolescents and children from 6 years

Let one lozenge slowly dissolve in the mouth every 4 hours.
The maximum daily dose of 5 tablets must not be exceeded.

Notes

Not suitable for children under 6 years.
If symptoms persist, high fever or no improvement, a doctor should be consulted.

Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, Lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate, Sorbitol, Menthol flavor, Magnesium stearate, Citric acid, Sucralose and other excipients for the manufacture of the lozenges.

Possible side effects

As with all medicines, easyangin® can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Possible side effects include temporary irritation or numbness in the mouth and throat, changes in taste, and rarely allergic reactions to one of the ingredients. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions or irritation of the mucous membranes may occur. If unusual symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
