Weleda Digestodoron® Drops

Gastrointestinal complaints are widespread and often occur in chronic forms. However, despite existing symptoms, doctors are often unable to diagnose a specific condition (as in irritable stomach or irritable bowel syndrome). The most common symptoms include heartburn, bloating, flatulence, as well as diarrhea and constipation, which can also occur alternately. The cause is often disturbances in the normal processes of the gastrointestinal tract, such as the production of digestive secretions and the rhythmic contraction and relaxation of the intestinal muscles (peristalsis). Symptoms can be particularly pronounced in stressful situations.
 
Digestodoron® drops promote and harmonize the rhythmic function of the intestine and the gastrointestinal environment and alleviate complaints such as diarrhea, constipation, and flatulence, even with alternating symptoms. They are suitable for long-term supportive treatment of persistent irritation in the digestive system, even if inflammatory causes are present.
 
Suitable for adolescents aged 12 and over!

To support the normal activity of the intestine and the gastrointestinal environment, for example, in cases of diarrhea, constipation, flatulence or alternating complaints. For supportive relief in persistent irritation of the digestive tract, including inflammatory causes.
 
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. There is insufficient data on the use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Salicylates can cross the placenta and pass into breast milk. Digestodoron should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy. Use during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy and during breastfeeding is not recommended.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: 10 to 15 drops, 1 to 3 times daily.
The drops should be taken in a little water fifteen minutes before meals.

10 g (= 10.7 ml, 1 ml = 30 drops) contain: the active ingredients are: 3.55 g Dryopteris filix-mas ex herba rec., Ethanol. Digestio D1, 0.85 g Polypodium vulgare e foliis rec., Ethanol. Digestio D1, 1.15 g Salix alba e foliis rec., Ethanol. Digestio D1, 2.3 g Salix viminalis e foliis rec., Ethanol. Digestio D1, 1.15 g Salix vitellina e foliis rec., Ethanol. Digestio D1, 1 g Phyllitis scolopendrium e foliis rec., Ethanol. Digestio D1.
The other ingredients are: Purified water, ethanol 96%.
 The total alcohol content is approximately 30% by weight.
