Dentinox® Gel Teething Aid is a gel for use on the gums to relieve discomfort during teething. It helps with pain, gum irritation, and inflammation that can occur when the first baby teeth and molars erupt.

Areas of Application

• Pain when teething begins

• Discomfort during the eruption of the first teeth

• Gum inflammation and gum irritation associated with teething

Mechanism of Action

Dentinox® Gel Teething Aid contains:

• Chamomile tincture for soothing and caring for irritated gums

• Lidocaine for local pain relief

• Lauromacrogol 400 for supportive local anesthesia

Application

For use on the gums.

At the first signs of teething, apply a pea-sized amount of gel with a clean finger or cotton swab to the affected gum line and gently massage.

Dosage

• Apply 2–3 times daily

• Especially recommended after meals and before bedtime

Active Ingredients

1 g of gel contains:

• 150 mg chamomile tincture

• 3.4 mg lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate

• 3.2 mg lauromacrogol 400

A pea-sized amount (approx. 0.1 g) contains:

• 15 mg chamomile tincture

• 0.3 mg lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate

• 0.3 mg lauromacrogol 400

Other Ingredients

Propylene glycol, edetate sodium, xylitol, sorbitol solution 70%, sodium saccharin, carbomer 974 P, sodium hydroxide solution, polysorbate 20, menthol and purified water.

Contraindications

Dentinox® Gel Teething Aid must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to:

• Chamomile or other daisy family plants

• Lidocaine or related amide-type local anesthetics

• Lauromacrogol 400

• any of the other ingredients

Side Effects

Allergic reactions may rarely occur, particularly due to the lidocaine content.

If signs of a hypersensitivity reaction appear on the skin or mucous membranes, use should be discontinued and medical advice sought if necessary.

Interactions

No interactions with other medicinal products are known.

Mandatory Information

Medicinal product. Active ingredients: Chamomile tincture, lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate, and lauromacrogol 400. Areas of application: Pain and irritation at the onset of teething and during the eruption of the first teeth, and resulting gum inflammation. Please observe the package insert.
