Preventive Hydration and Protection of the Ocular Surface

COLDAMARIS protect is a viscous, sterile, and preservative-free solution containing iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®) for hydrating the ocular surface. It forms a uniform, long-lasting moisturizing film, stabilizes the tear film, and protects against excessive tear evaporation.

The eye drops alleviate symptoms of dry or irritated eyes and are particularly suitable for use in dry or air-conditioned environments, during screen work, and when exposed to wind, sun, and other environmental influences.

The special sterile filter system of the OSD dropper ensures the sterility of the solution even after repeated use.

Areas of Application

COLDAMARIS protect is used to hydrate the eyes to prevent irritation and relieve symptoms of dry eyes. It is suitable for burning, dryness, discomfort, redness, itching, or foreign body sensation, for example, due to dry or air-conditioned indoor air, screen work, wind, or sun exposure.

Recommended Use

At the first signs of irritation, burning, discomfort, or dryness, instill 1 drop into each eye at least 3 times daily. If necessary, COLDAMARIS protect can be used up to 8 times daily.

• Wash and dry hands thoroughly before use.

• Remove contact lenses before use and reinsert them no earlier than 15 minutes after instillation.

• Completely remove the safety ring before first use and take off the cap.

• Tilt your head back slightly, look upwards, and gently pull down the lower eyelid.

• Hold the bottle with the dropper tip facing downwards and press steadily until a drop forms.

• Instill the drop into the space between the lower eyelid and the eye, then slowly close your eyes.

• Do not touch the dropper tip with your eye or hands.

• Repeat the process for the other eye if necessary.

• Replace the cap after use.

• If the dropper tip is blocked, wipe it with a clean cloth or rinse it with clear water.

Wait at least 10 minutes before applying other topical eye preparations. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Ingredients

• 3.2 mg iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®)

• Sorbitol

• Disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate

• Citric acid monohydrate

• Na-EDTA

• Purified water

Iota-carrageenan is a substance derived from red algae.

Side Effects

COLDAMARIS protect must not be used if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Important Information

COLDAMARIS protect is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and older and can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The product acts locally and is not absorbed by the body. No dependence or overdose is expected.
