Chlorhexamed® Forte without alcohol
An antiseptic for the mouth and throat to combat and prevent bacterial infections in this area.
What is Chlorhexamed® Forte without alcohol and what is it used for?
Chlorhexamed® Forte without alcohol combats bacterial pathogens and also has a milder effect against fungi. Mouth rinses effectively treat bacterial infections in the mouth and throat area.
The product is used:

to reduce and prevent bacterial deposits (plaque)

to treat gum inflammation (gingivitis)

for the therapy and prevention of infection-related diseases of the tooth bed (periodontopathies)

for tonsillitis, angina, lateral pharyngitis and inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa

before and after surgical procedures in the mouth and throat area

for aphthae, stomatitis and glossitis
-
to help against bad breath
-
for oral hygiene when normal tooth cleaning is not possible
If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 weeks, a doctor should be consulted.

A single dose of 10 ml contains 20 mg of chlorhexidine digluconate.
Application
Chlorhexamed® Forte without alcohol should be used twice a day, ideally in the morning and evening after meals.
Brush teeth and rinse mouth thoroughly with water at least 5 minutes before use.
For each application, fill the dosing cap to the marking line with 10 ml and rinse around the mouth or gargle in the throat for about 1 minute. Then spit out - do not swallow and do not rinse.
In case of denture stomatitis, the cleaned denture should also be immersed in the solution for 15 minutes.
The solution is ready to use and is used undiluted.
Children and adolescents
Children aged 6 to 12 years should only be treated under medical supervision.
Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
Adolescents aged 12 years and older can use the adult dosage unless otherwise prescribed.
Duration of use
Use for a period of 3 weeks in addition to normal tooth cleaning. In special cases, use may be longer.
Side effects
Temporary taste disturbances, burning sensation on the tongue, discoloration of teeth and tongue, and irritation of the mucous membrane may occur.

Active ingredient: Chlorhexidine digluconate.
Additional ingredients: Macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, glycerol, sorbitol (E420), peppermint flavor, purified water, benzyl alcohol, geraniol, limonene, linalool, eugenol, citral, citronellol.
