Cerustop® Ear Oil was developed for the gentle removal of excess or hardened earwax (cerumen). The almond oil contained penetrates the earwax, softens it and makes it more soluble, so that it can be removed more easily and gently. This supports the natural cleansing of the ear canal.

Hardened or excessive earwax can impair hearing and increase the risk of inflammation of the outer ear canal. Regular use of Cerustop® can reduce the formation of cerumen plugs and keep the ear canal clean.

In addition to removing earwax, Cerustop® is also suitable for cleaning the auricle and the outer ear canal. Applied with a cotton ball, dirt, skin flakes and excess oil can be gently removed.

Cerustop® is also suitable for hearing aid wearers and can be used before a medical ear irrigation to soften hardened earwax and facilitate cleaning. After an ear irrigation with water, the use of a suitable ear drying agent is recommended to restore the natural acid protective mantle of the ear canal.

The ear oil is suitable for adults and children from 3 years of age.

Instructions for Use

Depending on your needs, instill a few drops of Cerustop® Ear Oil into the outer ear canal and allow it to act for a few minutes. The dissolved earwax can then be carefully removed. For cleaning the auricle and the outer ear canal, a few drops can be applied to a cotton ball and the affected areas gently cleaned.

Before an ear irrigation, Cerustop® can be used as recommended by a doctor to soften hardened earwax.

Side Effects

Cerustop® is generally well tolerated. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions to one of the ingredients or slight irritations of the outer ear canal may occur. The product must not be used in case of eardrum injuries, ear pain of unclear cause or known allergies to any of the ingredients. In case of persistent discomfort or pain, medical advice should be sought.
