Fungal infections of the skin, feet, or nails are among the most common skin diseases. Typical symptoms include itching, burning, redness, scaling, or small skin cracks. In the case of nail fungus, whitish or yellowish discoloration, as well as thickened and brittle nails, often occur.

Canesten® Clotrimazole Solution is a broad-spectrum antifungal for the targeted treatment of fungal infections. The liquid form is particularly well-suited for hard-to-reach or hairy skin areas, as well as for application to nails.

The active ingredient clotrimazole works against numerous fungal pathogens, inhibits their growth, and combats the cause of the infection directly in the affected skin layers. This rapidly relieves symptoms such as itching, burning, or skin irritation.

Application

Thoroughly clean and carefully dry the affected skin or nail areas before use.

Apply a thin layer of the solution to the affected areas two to three times daily and rub in gently.

Treatment should be continued consistently for at least four weeks – even if symptoms improve earlier.

Wash hands thoroughly after use.

Note

Treatment should not be stopped prematurely to avoid a recurrence of the fungal infection.

If symptoms worsen or no improvement occurs, medical advice should be sought.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use should only occur after consulting a doctor.

Storage

Store dry and not excessively warm. Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Side effects

Occasionally, skin irritation, burning, redness, dryness, or itching may occur. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions to individual ingredients may occur.
