Vaginal thrush is one of the most common intimate infections in women. Typical symptoms include severe itching, burning, redness, swelling of the labia, and white, crumbly discharge. The cause is usually yeast fungi of the Candida genus.

Canesten® Clotrimazole Gyn Once Combi allows for simple and quick treatment with just one vaginal tablet. The active ingredient clotrimazole combats fungi and certain bacteria directly inside the vagina, thereby specifically alleviating the symptoms.

In addition, the included cream supports the treatment in the external intimate area. The special lactic acid additive helps stabilize the natural acidic vaginal environment and supports the natural protective function of the vaginal flora.

Application

The vaginal tablet is inserted once – preferably in the evening – deep into the vagina.

The cream is additionally applied thinly to the labia and adjacent skin areas one to three times daily and used for 1 to 2 weeks.

During pregnancy, application should only be done after medical consultation and without an applicator.

Note

If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 to 4 days, medical advice should be sought.

In case of first occurrence, frequently recurring infections or additional symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge or vaginal bleeding, medical clarification is necessary.

Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation.

Storage

Store dry and not excessively warm. Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Ingredients

Active ingredient:
Clotrimazole.

Other ingredients:
Lactic acid, benzyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, purified water and other pharmaceutical excipients.

Side Effects

Occasionally, local irritations such as burning, itching, redness or feelings of tension in the intimate area may occur. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions to individual ingredients are possible.
