Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream is a medication for the treatment of skin and athlete's foot fungal infections. The active ingredient clotrimazole penetrates the affected skin layers and specifically combats the fungal germs.

Fungal infections of the skin and feet are among the most common skin diseases. Typical symptoms include itching, burning, redness, flaking, or small skin cracks. If a fungal infection is not treated, it can spread further or infect other people.

Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream was specifically developed for the treatment of skin and athlete's foot fungus. It is effective against various pathogens such as dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. Clotrimazole penetrates deep into the skin and combats both the symptoms and the cause of the infection.

The cream is suitable for fungal infections on feet, hands, skin folds, and other affected skin areas. Additionally, it can be used for the external treatment of vaginal thrush and for partner treatment.

Application

Thoroughly clean and carefully dry the affected skin areas before application.

Apply a thin layer of cream two to three times daily and gently massage it in. For an area the size of a palm, about half a centimeter of cream strand is sufficient.

Treatment should be continued for at least four weeks, depending on the type and extent of the infection.

Note

Treatment should not be stopped prematurely, even if symptoms subside after just a few days.

If symptoms worsen or no improvement occurs, a doctor should be consulted.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use should only occur after consulting a doctor.

Storage

Store in a dry place and not too warm. Keep medicines out of the reach of children.

Side Effects

Occasionally, skin irritation, burning, redness, itching, or a feeling of tightness in the skin may occur. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions to individual ingredients are possible.
