What is magnesium and what does it do?
Magnesium is an important mineral that plays a central role in numerous metabolic processes in the body. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function – especially of the heart muscle – and supports energy metabolism.
In addition, magnesium helps maintain the normal function of the nervous system and can contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Due to its effect on nerves and muscles, magnesium is often referred to as an "anti-stress mineral".

Side effects
In case of excessive consumption, magnesium can have a laxative effect. Gastrointestinal complaints may occur in sensitive individuals.
