Bepanthen Eye Drops form a sterile, preservative-free, viscoelastic, and clear protective film on the cornea. The contained substances are of natural origin and are characterized by high tolerability. The sodium salt of hyaluronic acid contained has special physical properties that create a uniform, stable, and long-lasting protective film on the cornea without affecting vision.
Provitamin B5 (dexpanthenol) is also included, which, due to its high water-binding capacity, contributes to moisturization, refreshes the eye, and supports the care of the eye surface. In combination, the properties of both active ingredients are synergistically enhanced.
The combination of sodium hyaluronate (stabilizing for the tear film) and dexpanthenol (nourishing and soothing) supports the lubricity of the eye surface, protects against dryness, and provides long-lasting relief from discomfort associated with:
mechanical stress
e.g., from wearing hard or soft contact lenses or during diagnostic procedures on the eye
environmental influences
e.g., from air conditioning, wind, cold, dry air, or air pollution
strained eyes
e.g., during intensive screen work or long car journeys
Due to the absence of preservatives, the eye drops are well tolerated even with prolonged use and are also suitable for contact lens wearers.
Application:
Carefully separate a single-dose container and check for integrity. To open, twist off the top (do not pull).
Tilt your head slightly back, gently pull down the lower eyelid, and instill one drop into the lower conjunctival sac. Apply one to two drops into each eye several times a day as needed.
Then slowly close your eyes so that the liquid can spread evenly over the eye surface.
Precautions and warnings:
Do not use if the single-dose container or the foil packaging is damaged.
Avoid direct contact between the eye and the container.
Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
For single use only. Due to the absence of preservatives, opened containers must not be stored or reused.
If other eye preparations are used at the same time, an interval of at least 15 minutes should be observed. The eye drops should be applied last.
Do not use on infected or injured eyes.
Immediately after application, a temporary impairment of visual acuity may occur. During this phase, driving vehicles and operating machinery should be avoided until normal visual acuity is restored.
Do not use after the stated expiry date. This is indicated on the single-dose container and on the packaging.
Ingredients:
Sodium hyaluronate 0.15%, dexpanthenol 2%, sodium chloride, disodium phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, water for injections.
Side effects:
Occasionally, mild and temporary irritations such as burning, redness, or short-term blurred vision may occur. If the symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
