Cikatridina® vaginal ovules with hyaluronic acid are used to treat vaginal dryness and soreness and support the natural regenerative processes of the vaginal mucosa.

Various factors such as childbirth, gynecological procedures, hormonal changes, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy can affect the vaginal mucosa and lead to dryness, itching, burning, soreness, or minor injuries.

Cikatridina® supports the health and regeneration of the vaginal mucosa and improves the moisture balance and elasticity of the vaginal epithelium. The product is hormone-free.

How does Cikatridina® work?

The effect of Cikatridina® is primarily based on hyaluronic acid. Each vaginal ovule contains 5 mg of hyaluronic acid as a sodium salt.

Hyaluronic acid has the ability to bind larger amounts of fluid and form a moisturizing film on the vaginal mucosa. This moisturizes the tissue and supports the natural regeneration of the mucous membrane.

High molecular weight hyaluronic acid improves the moisture balance and elasticity of the vaginal epithelium. At the same time, it supports epithelial regeneration and the natural processes of tissue healing.

Thus, Cikatridina® can support wound healing in cases of minor injuries and tears, as well as after childbirth or gynecological procedures. Symptoms such as itching and burning caused by vaginal dryness can also be alleviated.

In addition, Cikatridina® contains natural ingredients such as calendula, Gotu kola, aloe vera, and tea tree oil. These complement the moisturizing and nourishing properties of hyaluronic acid.

Cikatridina® vaginal ovules are suitable for supportive treatment of regenerative processes in atrophy and dystrophy of the vaginal mucosa.

Dosage and application

Initial therapy: Apply one vaginal ovule daily for a period of 10 to 20 days.

Maintenance therapy: Apply one to three vaginal ovules per week or as needed.

Wash hands thoroughly before and after use.

Remove the vaginal ovule from the blister and carefully insert it as deeply as possible into the vagina. Application can preferably be done in the evening so that the ovule remains at the intended site of application for as long as possible.

The duration and frequency of application may vary depending on the nature and severity of the symptoms and medical recommendation.

Practical tips

• Wash hands thoroughly before and after use.

• Carefully remove the ovule from the blister.

• Insert the vaginal ovule as deeply as possible into the vagina.

• Use a fresh towel daily for the intimate area.

• Prefer breathable cotton underwear.

• Avoid vaginal douches.

• Use mild and suitable cleansing products for the intimate area whenever possible.

• If there is increased discharge during use, a panty liner may be used if necessary.

Further information

Increased discharge during use may occur and is possible in connection with the use of vaginal ovules.

Sexual intercourse is generally still possible during use.

According to the product information, the use of a condom is not recommended during the first 8 hours after inserting a Cikatridina® vaginal ovule.

In case of prolonged vaginal dryness or recurrent symptoms, the cause should be clarified by a doctor. This applies in particular to additional symptoms such as bleeding, pain, unusual or foul-smelling discharge.

Increased vaginal discharge may occur during use and is possible due to the nature and dissolution of the vaginal ovules.

Cikatridina® should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Ingredients

Each vaginal ovule contains 5 mg hyaluronic acid sodium salt, Centella asiatica oil extract, Calendula oil extract, Aloe vera oil extract, Melaleuca essential oil, semi-synthetic glycerides, BHT.

Hormone-free.
