Kaloba® Direct Granules – herbal help for colds and bronchitis

Kaloba® Direct Granules contain the proven special extract from the South African Cape Pelargonium (Pelargonium sidoides).

The herbal root extract supports the treatment of acute bronchial infections and helps with typical cold symptoms such as cough, mucus formation, sore throat and runny nose.

Kaloba® acts:

• antiviral
• antibacterial
• expectorant

This can facilitate coughing and shorten the duration of the illness.

In addition, Kaloba® supports the natural cleansing of the respiratory tract and can prevent bacterial secondary infections.

Special features of Kaloba® Direct Granules

The direct granules can be taken without water and are therefore particularly suitable for travel, school, work and on the go.

The efficacy of the special extract EPs® 7630 has been investigated and confirmed in numerous high-quality studies.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents from 12 years:

• 1 sachet 3 times a day

Children from 6 to 11 years:

• 1 sachet twice a day

Place the granules directly on the tongue and take.

Not suitable for children under 6 years.

Active ingredient

20 mg dry extract from pelargonium root (Pelargonii radix), DEV 4–25:1 (EPs® 7630), extractant ethanol 11 % (m/m).

1 sachet with 800 mg granules contains 20 mg dry extract from pelargonium root.

Excipients

Xylitol, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, maltodextrin.

Notes

• Not suitable for children under 6 years
• If no improvement after 7 days, consult a doctor
• For children aged 1 to 5 years, Kaloba® drops or syrup are available

Side effects

Like all medicines, Kaloba® can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

Possible side effects include:

• Gastrointestinal complaints
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Allergic reactions
• Skin rashes

In rare cases, liver dysfunction has been observed.
