Imodium 2 mg capsules help with acute diarrhea and quickly calm increased bowel activity. The active ingredient loperamide slows down intestinal movement, allowing fluids and electrolytes to be better absorbed. This makes the stool firmer and reduces the frequency of bowel movements.

Acute diarrhea can have various causes, such as gastrointestinal infections, stress, unfamiliar diet, or traveler's diarrhea. Imodium symptomatically relieves the discomfort and helps the body reduce fluid loss.

Dosage

Adults over 18 years:
Initially 2 capsules, then 1 capsule after each unformed stool.

Children and adolescents from 12 years:
Initially 1 capsule, then 1 additional capsule after each unformed stool.

The maximum daily dose is 4 capsules.

Take the capsules whole with sufficient fluid.

Note

Imodium should not be taken for more than 2 days without consulting a doctor.

In case of fever, blood in the stool, persistent symptoms, or severe fluid loss, medical advice should be sought.

In case of diarrhea, sufficient fluid and electrolyte intake should be ensured.

Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Storage

Store in a dry place and not excessively warm. Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Ingredients

Active ingredient:
2 mg loperamide hydrochloride per capsule.

Other ingredients:
Lactose, corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, indigotine and other pharmaceutical excipients.

Side Effects

Possible side effects include constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, flatulence, fatigue or dizziness. In rare cases, allergic reactions, intestinal obstruction or severe intestinal inertia may occur.
