Imodium akut 2 mg melt tablets offer rapid relief for acute diarrhea. The melt tablets dissolve immediately on the tongue and can be taken without water – ideal for on the go and perfect for your travel medicine kit.

The active ingredient loperamide slows down excessive bowel movements. This keeps the intestinal contents in the bowel longer, which improves the absorption of fluids and electrolytes. The frequency of bowel movements is reduced, and the stool becomes firmer.

Thanks to their pleasant mint flavor, the melt tablets are also suitable for nausea or a sensitive stomach.

Dosage

Adults over 18 years:
Initially 2 melt tablets, then 1 melt tablet after each unformed stool.

Children and adolescents from 12 years:
Initially 1 melt tablet, then 1 more melt tablet after each unformed stool.

The maximum daily dose is 4 melt tablets.

Place the tablet on the tongue and swallow with saliva.

Note

In case of diarrhea, ensure adequate fluid and electrolyte intake.

If symptoms persist, fever occurs, or blood is present in the stool, medical advice should be sought.

Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Storage

Store in a dry place and not too warm. Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Ingredients

Active ingredient:
2 mg loperamide hydrochloride per melt tablet.

Other ingredients:
Aspartame, gelatin, mannitol, peppermint flavor, sodium bicarbonate, and other pharmaceutical excipients.

Side Effects

Possible side effects include constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, or dizziness. Occasionally, fatigue or dry mouth may also occur. In rare cases, allergic reactions or intestinal obstruction are possible.
