Effect of Chasteberry

Dr. Böhm® Chasteberry forte 20 mg contains a dry extract from chasteberry fruits, which is used for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Chasteberry is a plant from the Mediterranean region and can grow up to four meters tall. Already in the Middle Ages, chasteberry was traditionally used for menstrual complaints.

The ingredients of the chasteberry extract positively influence the metabolism of certain hormones and neurotransmitters. This can alleviate monthly recurring complaints such as mood swings, weight gain due to fluid retention in the tissues, and painful tension and swelling in the breast.

Application

Adult women aged 18 and over:
1 film-coated tablet daily.

The film-coated tablets should be taken whole with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water), preferably always at the same time of day.

Ingredients

1 film-coated tablet contains:
20 mg dry extract from chasteberry fruits (Vitex agnus-castus).

Other ingredients:
Microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, and other excipients.
