Vaginal thrush usually results from a disturbance of the natural balance of the vaginal flora. Typical symptoms include itching, burning, redness, and white, crumbly discharge.

The Canesten® Clotrimazole 0.5 g Soft Capsule contains the proven active ingredient clotrimazole and combats numerous fungal pathogens as well as certain bacteria that can cause infections in the vaginal area.

Thanks to the special soft capsule technology, the active ingredient dissolves quickly and spreads evenly in the vaginal area. The single application makes the therapy particularly straightforward and comfortable.

The soft capsule is particularly suitable for women with vaginal dryness, as the pre-dissolved active ingredient distributes more easily and dissolves faster.

Application

The soft capsule is inserted once – preferably in the evening before bedtime – deep into the vagina.

The application can be done with the included applicator or, alternatively, with a finger.

During pregnancy, application without an applicator is recommended.

Note

If the symptoms do not significantly improve or worsen within seven days, medical advice should be sought.

The treatment should not be carried out during menstruation.

Before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, medical or pharmaceutical advice should be sought.

Storage

Store dry and not excessively warm. Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Side effects
