Medicine for use in biotin deficiency.

• In case of biotin deficiency

• Also for biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency

Properties and Efficacy

BIO-H-TIN® contains Vitamin H (Biotin).

Biotin supports important metabolic processes and contributes to the normal function of skin, hair, and nails.

Method of Administration

Take with sufficient liquid.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed:

• 2.5 mg biotin once daily

For prophylaxis, less than 0.2 mg biotin daily is sufficient.

For biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency:

• Daily dose 5–10 mg

Children and adolescents:

• Use only under medical supervision

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible.

Interactions

Raw egg white can reduce the absorption of biotin.

Side Effects

Very rarely, allergic skin reactions may occur.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Biotin (Vitamin H) 2.5 mg.

Excipients: Highly dispersed silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized corn starch, sodium carboxymethyl starch type A, magnesium stearate (vegetable), lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium.
