However, this medicine should not be taken if you are pregnant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you become pregnant after taking Vikela, contact your doctor. Your doctor may check whether the pregnancy is developing outside the uterus, for example, in the abdominal cavity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is particularly important if you experience severe abdominal pain after taking Vikela or if you have previously had a pregnancy outside the uterus, fallopian tube surgery, or pelvic inflammatory disease.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIf you are breastfeeding:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can breastfeed. However, since levonorgestrel passes into breast milk, you should breastfeed immediately before taking Vikela and interrupt breastfeeding for at least 8 hours after taking it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAsk your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eApplication\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVikela can be taken at any time during your menstrual cycle, provided you are not already pregnant or suspect you are pregnant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDo not chew the tablet, but swallow it whole with water.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTake the tablet as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sexual intercourse.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDo not delay taking the tablet.
